We’ve all seen the film Wizard of Oz, which is about a girl who is swept away by a tornado and sent to the mythical Land of Oz, where she begins on a mission with three new friends to meet the Wizard, who can return her home and grant the wishes of the others. The idea of these posters was to choose two concepts from the movie Wizard of Oz and create posters with them. In this case the concepts used in these collages were frienship and good vs evil.

For the first poster, many significant textures and colors were used to represent the concept of good vs evil. The colors green and purple were used to symbolize the difference between the two characters in the movie, the Wicked Witch and Dorothy.

The second poster’s concept was friendship, and multiple contrasting colors were chosen to represent each of the characters. The diverse textures and colors also represent their adventures. In the background, the city of New York represents the Emerald City from the film.
